Circle of Excellence
The Circle of Excellence is a community of generous donors who consistently support and sustain PIH Health by giving annual gifts – totaling a minimum of $1,000 – to ensure that PIH Health provides the highest quality healthcare for our communities.
Membership begins by giving $85 a month (or $250 a quarter or $1,000 annually).
Higher levels of membership are recognized at $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000+.

Although supporting the mission of PIH Health is the most important reward of membership, we are pleased to extend special courtesies as our thanks for your generosity. Some examples include:

PIH Health Foundation Circle of Excellence members gathered on July 31 to unveil the newly renovated chapel at PIH Health Downey Hospital with a heartfelt dedication ceremony. This beautiful transformation was made possible through the generous support of The Atwood Family, Sam and Beverly Mathis, PDL Enterprises, Inc., and PIH Health employee donors.
Fr. Kenneth Chukwu, System Senior Director for Chaplaincy, led the chapel's blessing and dedication, marking the official opening of the renovated chapel, a space now enriched to offer comfort and reflection to patients, families, and staff. PIH Health Foundation Circle of Excellence members joined together for a Grand Re-Opening of PIH Health Hospice Rose House. The event was graciously underwritten by The White Family – White Emerson Mortuary. Guests enjoyed an exclusive tour of the newly renovated hospice home, and we had the privilege of dedicating and blessing “The Healing Wall”, an art installation that was lovingly crafted and donated by Annette Atwood.
Nathan Hashimoto MD, medical director of PIH Health Palliative Care and Hospice Services shared information about PIH Health’s palliative care and hospice programs and the significant impact these services have on our community.

PIH Health Foundation Circle of Excellence (COE) gathered on March 15th at the beautiful Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles. Attendees heard from Steven Burstein MD who is at the forefront of less invasive, lower-risk catheter-based procedures for patients with severe coronary artery disease and structural heart defects.
Dr. Burstein, Director of Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease for the PIH Health Heart and Vascular Center, shared not only the challenges and considerations faced with Mitral Valve Therapy, but also the latest treatments and future therapies for PIH Health patients.
