Urolift Treatment

PIH Health now offers the Urolift treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a condition where the prostate enlarges as men get older, affecting over 40% of men in their 50’s and 70% of men in their 60’s.

Although BPH is a benign condition, it can negatively impact a man’s quality of life. As the prostate enlarges, it presses on and blocks the urethra, causing bothersome urinary symptoms, including:

  • Frequent need to urinate during the day and night
  • A sense that you cannot completely empty your bladder
  • Urgent feeling of needing to urinate
  • Difficulty or delay in starting urination
  • Weak or slow urinary stream
  • A urinary stream that stops and starts
  • Pain during urination

Urolift is a truly minimally invasive procedure that can be performed in the physician’s office. This means most patients no longer need to take BPH medications while avoiding the long recovery times and ejaculatory and erectile dysfunction associated with other treatments.
