What to Expect
After your physician decides you need surgery, you’ll get more detailed information on how to prepare for your surgery. Once your surgery is scheduled, you’ll receive a phone call from your surgeon’s office with more information.
When You Arrive
When you arrive for surgery, a nurse will greet you, and then introduce you to the rest of the nursing staff and help you with the admission process.
Surgical Nurse
Once your admission is complete, you’ll meet the operating room nurse who will stay with you throughout your operation. Rely on your surgical nurse to provide you with information and to help you feel as comfortable as possible from admission through recovery.
