Dr. Warren Woo initial motivation to study medicine came from three areas of interest: the challenge of advancing medical science, the complexity of human beings and their systems, and the relational aspect of caring for patients. During his childhood, Dr. Woo experienced kindness and compassion from his own family physician, and this made an impact upon him in choosing to specialize in family practice. He most enjoys hearing from a patient that “what we did for them changed their life.” He also enjoys helping to give patients more quality years to enjoy time with their family and significant events in their lives through improved healthcare. Prior to beginning medical school, Dr. Woo gained life experience as a grocery store clerk, a door-to-door salesperson selling cookware, and a math tutor, chemistry assistant and summer camp counselor while in college. Prior to starting medical school, he worked as a tennis pro.
