Teresa Sokol became a Physician Assistant because she wanted to be part of a profession that focused on helping others achieve better health and happier lives. She was grateful for the medical care that many of her family members had received early in her life, and wanted to give back to her community. After working for many years as a Registered Dietitian, Teresa earned a BS in Health Sciences/Physician Assistant from Butler University and MPAS from University of Nebraska. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Teresa chose to specialize in neurology because of her fascination with neuroscience and diagnosing neurological diseases. She has 22 years of experience in her specialty. Because of her passion to treat migraines and headaches, Teresa earned an added qualification in headache medicine from the National Headache Foundation. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, 2 daughters and 6 siblings.
