The provider time for me to get a scheduled appointment to see a surgeon was a long time, so I transferred from Whittier over to Downey, which ended up not being too good because I'm looking more for robotic type surgery instead of getting a big old slash across my stomach. And then the other thing was that I scheduled for an appointment over in Whittier after that because my wife hung on to that appointment. So I ended up going to that three weeks later, I mean two weeks after the first one, and then it was that I was there and the doctor that I saw says he doesn't do robotic surgery. So he took me outside to the counter and said, here's the lady here and told her that he needs somebody that needs to do robotic surgery. He doesn't want a big cut. I don't do robotics. So I don't know how he got signed to me and must have been miscommunication or something like that between my wife and once you told him I was coming.

I was completely comfortable with the staff and with the provider he was very easy to talk to and he took the time to explain what choices I had and gave me enough time to answer him . I would like to say I wish there was more providers like him.

I Heard reviews the Doc wasent real sociable, but I went to get Help not to crack jokes and talk about weather. He was professional and Nice and seemed very knowledgeable. So that's what I go by not to concerned about other things other than what I needed help with . To which he took care of , So thanks again to the Doc and staff.

The professional, the doctor, does not have the ability to work. He has no experience and he does not have the peace of mind to care for (name removed). He's a bad element.

When I was getting examined for my umbilical hernia, the doctor pressed it so hard that it's been hurting ever since. Prior to that, I'd never hurt whatsoever. So, I thought that was a little extreme. I'm not sure why that was done.

Dr. Kim and his staff have always been very efficient. They listen to you. They help you answer all your questions. He and his staff are very good. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. Thank you.

Good afternoon, I was very pleased with the way I was treated at the hospital. I am very satisfied and I can recommend it. Thank you very much.

Dr kim is rude, he has no patient, did not explain any of my situation and give valuable advices, he only assume my upcoming MR biopsy the worse case and said most likely I have to do mastectomy surgery. Made me even more depressed now. Didn't like him at all. As no good communication and he is not sympathy at all. No one will like a doctor as him.

It felt really rushed and I didn't feel like I got to know the doctor and understand what was next.

My son was referred by his primary physician for possible removal of a lump on his back. Provider walked into the room and asked who referred us. I told him my son's primary pcp name and he said "I don't know who that is". He then proceeded to ask why we were there. I felt like he took no time to look at my son's chart. We were inconveniencing him. My expectation of a medical professional is for him to walk in knowing the patients name and why they are there. He spent 3 minutes at most with my son then asked him what he wanted to do rather than explain to him what was found and providing his professional medical opinion. There is no way I would trust Dr. Samuel Kim with performing any type of surgery on my son.

Dr. Kim not very personable for meeting us for the first time.

As the patient, I don't know what I don't know therefore the doctor should explain findings along with what to expect from the upcoming procedure according. He spoke to me as if from a script he memorized. As you know all patients situations are NOT the same, especially when your told there is a possibility of cancer risk.I simply tuned him out at some point.

I felt Dr Kim was being rude and condescending when I was explaining my cyst and who original removed it. I was not happy with his demeanor at all.

I was Charged $40 just to have my issue looked at. Then I was told I need to schedule another appointment (which will be in another month) for a 15 minute procedure. Just wasted my time

Dr. Kim was extraordinary, very detailed, scrupulously explained me, he gave me peace of mind and I was, it was above my expectation how well he is explained and he is excellent, above and excellent. Thank you very much, Dr. Kim.

Appointment for my son. He was greeted and treated with respect. This office experience was wonderful.

Dr. Kim was nice and explained everything. I was very happy to meet my Nurse Navigator (name removed). She's been very helpful and I'm very grateful to have her. Also (name removed), Dr. Kim's M.A. was very nice. I met her 17 years ago when she was Dr. (name removed) M.A. When I found out back then that I had cancer and started crying, she put her arms around me. I've always remembered that sweet gesture. She's well suited for her job.

Dr. Kim is a professional surgeon. What he did on mine, fortunately it turned out very well, I am in recovery and also the people who work in the office and assistant treat me well and I am grateful for that. I am recovering my health and all staff outstanding. Thank you.

Very good doctor.

I really enjoyed the doctor and how he talked to me like I was a person. He took me very seriously. However, the woman who checked me in was getting ready to see the doctor, (INAUDIBLE) gives me a lot of attitude. She was just very rude and condescending the whole time because, I don't know, she thought I was like, I don't know. It was just very, it wasn't what I was expecting from somewhere I've heard such good things about. And I think it was about nobody contacting me before my appointment. And I should mention that her attitude changed entirely. But before then, she was like, rolling her eyes at me. She was giving me attitude, and it just wasn't ideal.

I was expecting a Specialist that at least had some answers for me in regards of my lipomas condition.

I had an excellent experience. Dr. Kim, Samuel Kim was excellent. He listened to me. He answered all my questions. Thank you, PIH.

Went in for pain which I believe may be caused by gallbladder stones. Herecommended me he could remove the gallbladder and if the pain stopped then we would know that was the issue. If not then we would have to figure out what it was. I'm not comfortable removing organs from my body if they do not need to be removed on a trial and error basis. Doctor recommended gallbladder surgery without requesting updated ultrasound or MRI to see if there had been any changes. Last gallbladder ultrasound was in 2022.

I felt as if the doctor was in a hurry and did not offer any options or solutions. After waiting for 45 minutes in the room the doctor walked in and spent less than 2 minutes. The doctor spent the entire time at the doorway and never listened or bothered to look at my charts, results, history and offer to explain my issue. Rather the doctor said we will schedule a surgery for you see (name removed) at the desk. I am now forced to get a second opinion on what the issues are. The office stay was very nice and helpful. This review is solely for the doctor who came in the room.

First time seeing this doctor. I'm happy that he has ordered studies to determine cause of my pain.

Dr. Kim explained things very clearly and listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I had an excellent experience.

I just find it a little bit difficult to grade someone after a first visit when, as a patient, I'm so nervous and concerned. Maybe the grading system should be after the second or third visit when, you know, patient and doctor have a feel of each other. Yeah, there's always professionalism, but still, an initial visit sometimes is just not the right timing to give a grade. That's my thought.

The doctor was fine, courtesy wise and all that, but it just seemed like it was just too quick and down and dirty and it just left me wondering. So that's all. It just seemed like he was in a rush and maybe he was. But anyhow, that's all I got to say. Thanks. Bye.

This provider does not know how to work with people. He was very dismissive. I felt unheard, very rushed. I also was questioning why I was sitting in that office because he had said, well, why are you here? And it made me feel very uncomfortable. He had not taken the time to look after any of my results to understand why I was there and why I was referred to him. And it was very uncomfortable. My husband was in the appointment and shared the same feelings as I sat there in front of him. So, yeah, very unhappy with seeing this doctor, and he definitely needs to just get some work on working with patients in general.

They were very helpful, and real polite, and that's all I could say. They were real good.

Everyone was very nice.

Dr. Kim and his staff have been very, very helpful and making you feel good, never a problem. The only problem I would see would be being easier to contact them by phone. Otherwise, they're fantastic, fantastic doctor and nursing group. Thank you.

Worst interaction with a doctor at PIH I ever had. Refused to act on my oncologist request.

Waited 45 minutes for the doctor and when he came in to see he spent five minutes and had me reschedule for another appointment.

Had surgery yesterday at pih nurses are outstanding number one in my book took care of me and answer all my question for an old man like me once again thank you.

The doctor came in, didn't even ask me how I was doing, introduced himself. He just came, asked me to lay back, pressed the area where I told him I had a hernia, according to my other doctor. Hurt me very much, and was very rude, and said, that's not a hernia. You need an MRI, or an ultrasound, and left. I will never go back to him, never will recommend him. He has no bedside manners and he is a terrible doctor.

It would be helpful if they would actually share with you at the time that you're there what your co-pays are and how much you're expected to pay on your next procedure.

This appointment had been 9+ months in the making to finally get some help. I've seen the detailed report the referring doctor has on my file. Came in for consult and possible same day procedure. Only to be met with a less in 5 min visit only to refer me further for MRI and no talks about a solution.
