I really appreciated how Dr. Maehara spoke with me, listened, just a great doctor. I felt as if I already knew him. All of the staff was very polite. I was a few minutes late and they were very understanding. I was still able to complete my papers, or my paperwork from coming in, my incoming paperwork, and I was given a card and I was assured that if I needed a call back, that it was possible.

I greatly appreciate Dr. Maehara's treating my 'trigger finger' pain that I've been experiencing for some time now, despite the Occupational Therapy treatments I've been getting. The shot with lidocaine that Dr. Maehara gave me yesterday has greatly diminished my ongoing pain.

I am going to nominate Dr. Maehara for sainthood! His care has provided me with so much pain relief and prevented many trips to urgent care. And he is such a personable gentleman that it is a pleasure to have him as my rheumatologist.

You have to thank Dr. Maehara. He's one of the best doctors I've ever seen since 2012. He actually saved my life with my autoimmune illness. So I have all praise for him and his staff. So that's again, thank you.

Dr. Maehara is wonderful. The support staff is not as knowledgeable as they should be and that's my only feedback. That support staff needs to work harder to understand medicine, insurances, how to help us and how to navigate the healthcare system. It's very hard and we would really like them to understand how to help us because I need an infusion and I need an infusion center and nobody seems to be able to help me. So if PIH can help me and call me, I would really appreciate it. I need an infusion center to have some reclass, the insurance is giving me a hard time and I need that office to help me out. I appreciate it. Thank you.

Good afternoon, my name is (PHI removed). I just want to give my opinion about the doctor. The doctor was very patient and very kind and took his time. In addition, he explained everything to me clearly as he should. I am very grateful to him and apart from the fact that I commented that the last incorrect answer is number 4 instead of 1, thank you.

As a first time patient and visitor to PIH, I was very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The doctor took his time to answer my questions and understand the nature of my condition.

This was my initial appointment with Dr. Maehara. He was very thorough and thoughtful in wanting to address my problems. I felt comfortable with him and I am pleased with with my visit.

I very much value the care I receive from Dr. Maehara. He provides great care.

The only thing I didn't like was that they charge 25 dlls if the person cancels their appointment. Older people often get confused about days and appointments or we have urgent things to do. In other places where I have gone, they have never charged me for canceling appointments because they understand that sometimes it is necessary.

Always enjoy Dr Maehara with his knowledge and experience and always has a smile positive attitude !

This is (PHI removed) regarding Dr. Michael Maehara. He's been my doctor for over 30 years. He has always been at my side when I needed help, always given me good guidance and direction, and has been extremely respectful of me and my family. He is probably the most outstanding physician that you have in your network, and I would recommend him to anybody and everybody that I meet.

Dr Maehara is without question one of the best physicians I have encountered both in my private life and professional (I am an RN x 40 years). He takes the time to interview the patient in detail. And he seems genuinely interested. I rarely find that in the medical community anymore.

I feel like I was listened to. He assured me not to worry right now. Let them do the work they need to do. And very respectful. And again, just very calming and open.

Dr Maehara has a very calm, polite, and humble demeanor. He listens, while I'm trying to describe my symptoms, as I'm immersed in frustration due to pain. I'm grateful to have finally found a rheumatologist with his amount of expertise. Especially after a couple duds. If it wasn't late I could think and I know I could say more and these nails don't help.

Dr (name removed) was very attentive and thorough. The office staff was very courteous and efficient. I was impressed with how fast things were processed.

I liked the doctor very much. The office girls were nice, but I called on February the 10th to get an appointment and it took me over a month to get an appointment. They couldn't get the fax referral, then they needed the order, they couldn't get a fax for three days. Then the guy there kept calling to see if he could confirm my secondary insurance and finally three days before my appointment he asked me to do it. He asked me to call my insurance company and so I did and I confirmed everything, called him back and he said, well what's her name, what's her, I said I don't know, you asked me to confirm so I did. Then I had to call her back, be on the phone with her, well they called him to confirm everything and I feel that's his job. So wasn't real happy about that, but I was happy with the doctor and the office girls. I'm done now.

On 03/25/24, it was my first appointment with Dr. Maehara. Dr. Maehara is very knowledgeable, patient & genuinely shows concern for his patients. He answered all my questions & explained why he recommended his recommendation with clarity. I look forward to my next appointment with Dr. Maehara.
