Dr. Yang knew she wanted to be an ophthalmologist after discovering “a love of science and microscopes” at age 15. She fosters open, honest patient relationships to be able to give the same kind of care she would to a family member.
A longtime Whittier resident, Dr. Yang likes playing the piano and indoor skydiving in her free time. Founder and president of the New York Medical College ballroom dancing club, she is also a member of NYMC Arrhythmias, an acapella group, and speaks Spanish and Taiwanese.
