My daughter was with me for this appointment and we both agreed that he had the best bedside matter we have seen in a long time. He was gentle, approachable, listened attentively and very knowledgeable about matters pertaining to the visit....he explained things in a way that made it very easy to understand. I went into the appointment a little tense because of lack of knowledge and understanding of what was happening with my knee. I left with great relief and some options. James is an excellent doctor.

I really appreciate the fact that James goes out of his way so that he can take extra steps so that my two parts injections are as painless as possible when he applies them to my knee. His thoughtfulness and consideration of patient's pain is above and beyond what I've experienced with most other providers. I appreciate that.

Provider-James was great. The Rad tech that did xrays was not friendly and gave directions impatiently. I felt like I was an inconvenience to him.

From the minute I walked in, the office staff helped me completely fill out all the forms that I needed to do. They were completely friendly and helpful. When I saw the doctor, he explained everything completely to me and was very thorough in explaining what was wrong with my ailments and took extra care to make sure that I was comfortable and relaxed enough to have him do the procedures. I would certainly like to have, if I need more coverage, I'd like to have the same doctor take care of my problems. Have a good day and be safe.

The staff there at PIH, every time I come in, they're very kind, courteous, and are able to direct me exactly where I need to go. James, the physical therapist, was amazing. Patty, the woman that took my x-ray, she is extraordinary. She is the best. PIH is lucky to have her. But overall, my experience is always, usually always, is great.

The office staff is very nice. I love Dr.James. Last year I got a round of the same shots with another doctor. And it hurt very bad. Dr.James gave me shot number 1 and I could not feel anything. He is very gentle.

Hi, yes, the procedure that I wanted to have done, you provided for me, and it worked great for a while, but it's starting to wear off. Actually, it started to wear off about 8 p.m. that night, and it's only about 30 percent effective now. So, I'm going to have to make another appointment, come back in, and discuss the next step. You had recommended an MRI. That may be necessary, or maybe there's something else you want to recommend. I'm disappointed that the procedure I requested didn't work. It had always worked before, and for some reason, it didn't work this time. I guess I'm just too old for it to work. In any case, give me a call, or I will call you on Monday, and we'll see if we can make arrangements for another appointment. I hope I don't have to have another referral. Thank you. Bye.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. James when I assisted a friend to her last appointment and he was amazing with her and decided to switch to him. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable in his work! I know I will be very happy with Dr. James!!!

I like going to that location although it's far from me from Whittier, but it's worth it because of the care and the quickness that you get there

This office staff, and doctors are extremely good. I developed trust in them several years ago.

Your phone system is awful. I can never get through to make an appointment. I have to drive down there and make an appointment. It was fine before PIH took over. I can't use the on line system because they need to order the shots I get, so I need to speak to a human being. It takes less time and frustration for me to physically drive there than deal with your ridiculous phone system. I hate PIH! It is the worst network. Yeah, the people there are great, but you gotta be able to get an appointment. Older people have trouble with online as well. Please, change your phone system!

I was treated by James, PA at the Putnam office in Whittier. James provided excellence in care, he is professional, caring, respectful and knowledgeable. At first I didn't want to be scheduled with a PA. I've know changed my impression of PA's, I'd gladly see James anytime needed.

No pain is my idea of a doctors visit...that is what I got happy to say.

James Vander Hayden was awesome. We really appreciate that we were able to get in to see him sooner than our regular visit. We are having a little bit of a problem following up with our radiology, but we hope that tomorrow, which is Monday, I know it's President's Day, we're going to be able to get my dad scheduled for his ASAP radiology appointment. Yes, I would like to say the... physical physician assistant, James, is such a valuable asset to your organization. I like him a lot. He explains things very, very well. Everyone at the La Habra orthopedics office are wonderful people. Polite and very helpful. I went to see PA James Van Der Heyden great person good listener and gives good advice.

I will say that James was very thorough. He did not treat you like a number like it. The emergency was very, very disappointed. In the emergency, it felt like we were just a number being passed on. James was very thorough, treated you like you were a family member, and what was best. My dad's 91, and I highly appreciate his outlook, how he spoke, and all the different options he shared with my dad. He just didn't say, let's do surgery and make money. He was more concerned about his health care. I appreciate that.

Yes, James is very efficient. He always makes sure that you're not in any pain as he's injecting you and very friendly and I always look forward to having him do my injection in my knee and I've gotten used to him because I've always had Dr. (name removed), but James does a great job. I was scheduled to see James V who was very cordial and nice. I was very disappointed that he could not accommodate my situation of needing a foot brace because they had none for me. Instead they gave me a list of places that would accept my insurance and I would have to hunt one down myself. My primary doctor (name removed) was concerned the day before that I see someone ASAP and James V was the only one at the time who could see me. I was so disappointed with my visit. I came home and found an old foot brace that I had and am using that until I have follow up with Jacob Reis since he's been my go to physician assistant I've seen many times before for other issues. I just hope PIH can be more accommodating to patients like me if they are in need of supplies. Thank you! (PHI removed)
