Dr. Kim chose a career in medicine to help people and do something that challenges him daily. Like his father, he had a nagging curiosity about what could help people become healthier. He immigrated from South Korea with his family at the age of eight and attended The College at the University of Chicago, followed by Texas Tech University School of Medicine. After he completed his residency at Reading Hospital & Medical Center in Reading, PA, he served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in North Carolina. He has been in California since 2004. He is married to Kay Kim and they have three grown children. He loves to read, watch documentaries, and spend time outdoors – mostly on his bicycle. He enjoys small talk and takes interest in history, cultures, and technology.
