Dr. Shah says firsthand exposure to “various orthopedic deformities” as a medical student and resident in India lead him to specialize in orthopedic surgery. Backed by strong family support, Dr. Shah—recipient of an arthritis and reconstructive surgery fellowship—became a physician to serve the community. He says, “I always wanted to assume independent responsibility with hard work and zeal.” He describes his ability to alleviate arthritic pain and improve the quality of life for his patients simply as “gratifying.”
Dr. Shah belongs to the Jain Center of Southern California and served on the volunteer medical rescue team that provided relief to victims of the 1993 earthquake in India. He enjoys tennis, travel, music, cooking and “spending time with family.”
