It would be helpful if when you schedule a physical that the office can follow through and in a timely manner, knowing that physicals are scheduled a week in advance, if they can call you for a referral to go get your blood work done so when you go visit the doctor, the blood work is done and the doctor and the patient can have a discussion on the results instead of getting there and not having nothing done. I made my appointment online on Faysha, whatever, because you promote that and in the notes I had requested for someone to call me so I can get my blood work done but that was in a follow through and since I cannot call the office directly, I'm calling in person.

The visit was great from the receptionist to the nurse who took good care of me and was sweet, to the Dr who I keep coming back to as soon as my insurance companies allow me to! He's a great Dr and takes the time to listen to his patients.

Just want to add that Dr. Mendez's office had a very good service, everything. Thank you very much for everything, thank you.

Got in early to be in before my appointment. I had to wait more time than being seen at my appointment by my doctor because he came later to check me.

Did not like the appointment call center. Not very understanding nor helpful.. They wanted to schedule my appointment with my physician several months out. I have been with Dr Mendez for over 10 years. I do not to see another Doctor as the call center suggested. please note; I am referring to the call center not the Dr office.

Yes, I met with the provider on Friday. I tried calling today, Monday, to get a follow-up because of an urgent matter, and I didn't even get a response back from anyone in the office.

Hello, the first two questions I answered incorrectly. They should all be fours. With any questions that has a scale of one to four, the maximum score is applied in all categories. A 10 is valid and all the other ones should be fours. There was a one and a two in the first two, but I incorrectly misunderstood. Fours for across the board. My doctor and all the staff were excellent, caring, and I felt like a family member. Thank you.

I am very happy with the service. Dr. Alexander Mendez and everyone in the office, including the secretary and nurses, have always treated me very well. I've been with him for 12 years, and I am pleased because they explain things very well. They are very kind, and the sessions and authorizations are timely. For now, I am doing well.

Dr. Mendez is very good at explaining your health issues and the reasons for the treatment plan as well as the treatment plan itself. He's a good listener and super respectful!

Dr. Mendez has the most efficient, respectful, and nice staff. If for anything I would go back, it would be because the staff made it so pleasant. They're so sweet. It was a wonderful experience. Love Dr. Mendez. Have been his patient for over 25 years. It has just become difficult to schedule appointments to meet with him. And I only meet with him once a year for my Wellness Check. But this year it was difficult for me to get scheduled. On a few occassions when I did want to meet with him on other issues, it was difficult to see him. I actually went to Urgent Care because I was not able to meet with Dr. Mendez in a timely manner,

If only appointments where not so hard to book to see a doctor. I don't always want to see a nurse partitioner. And I'm sure many patients feel the same.

Dr. Mendez is a good doctor. The only thing is when I made my appointment, it took four weeks. I had to schedule it four weeks in advance. So the timeliness I did not like. That would be it though. He's a good doctor, but just the timeliness of scheduling three to four weeks was not acceptable.

Office staff and doctor are always professional. Your billing staff definitely have some work to do. Trying to pay for lab work from my physical in December online that was done in office not the hospital. However, hospital sends billing statement. PIH website (which is the same) asks if its hospital or in office. Since I did not go to the hospital, I paid in office only to be notified that I did not pay my bill. I had to pay again this time checking the hospital site. So PIH owes me a refund since I paid twice out of pocket for lab work where PIH chose to select the hospital who processed it for payment. What a bait and switch. Your customer service people associated with billing were rude and completely out of touch when trying to correct this issue. They were oblivious to the statement dates and did not make any effort or care that the payment was made. I expect a refund for the double payment!

I would like to get written information about my health such as weight and blood pressure. And if I have to diet because of my cholesterol or sugar, they would give me written instructions about what is recommended to eat or avoid eating.

I feel like I wasn't heard and my pain was dismissed. It was basically told it's a chronic condition and just need to live with it. I wished for an X-ray or something to get more information about what is causing the pain.

It seems like he's always in a rush and I'm planning on changing doctors because I don't you know, you only go once a year for a physical and for them to be in a hurry is not fair. I feel that you know, they should listen if you have a physical is only once a year they should take their time to listen to you. And he didn't even check other stuff. So I feel like he was in a rush.

Being able to get in during a suitable time frame would help the patient, especially if they are having a hard time dealing with results or need some feedback in person. Just getting in sooner would be a lot more helpful and a lot more reassuring to a patient. And office staff could be more courteous.

Thank you!! I was looking for a new Dr, as my previous PCP is no longer at PIH. Dr. Mendez was recommended by several folks, and I knew he had been with PIH for awhile, so I thought I'd try. He was so personable and gracious, down to earth, sincere....just what I was hoping to find. I also thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Betty, prior to seeing Dr. Mendez. She was just delightful, as well! I appreciated the fact that they had both reviewed my file ahead of time and from a medical standpoint, they were aware of my history, and they asked appropriate questions so I could give them answers more efficiently. I walked away feeling as if I had made two new friends who genuinely cared about me and my concerns. Very much looking forward to working with my new physician!!

I have been a patient of Se. Mendez for decades. I've moved a distance but still retain him as my primary physician. He is priceless!!!

Dr. Mendez was exceptional. His personal staff nurse, (name removed), was exceptional. My only negative experience was with the front desk nurse. She is doesn't seem to have much concern for you, has a bit of an attitude, to say the least, and I'm afraid I don't know her name because there are two there. So I don't really know if you need names, but she wears her hair tight, tight in a bun. Maybe she needs a loose in her hair or something. But yeah, other than that, man, doctor's wonderful. His nurses are wonderful. And I'll just go to the other front desk nurse from now on, and I'd have to deal with the other ones, that she's got the attitude problem and doesn't seem to care to help her or anything. You have to practically beg her. Otherwise, Dr. Mendez, love him. He's great. Betty, love her. She's great. Other women, other nurses, great. Thank you.

The PIH team always takes great care of me. I actually make it a point to change my PCP to a PIH doctor and was not disappointed. This all came about because of several PIH ER visits, I've been so impressed with the level of care I've received.

Although I respect Dr. Mendez's knowledge and ability to deal with patients, I frequently have difficulty getting prescriptions written/sent to the pharmacy in a timely manner.
