Dr. Shindel was professional and explained the steps that we need to do. He listened to me explain my situation and how I've been dealing with it while trying to get answers from another Dr. that just seamed to go nowhere in previous 2 years I first had symptoms.

Staff were very efficient and nice. Place clean. I felt very comfortable in facility. Doctor is great. I went back to him after seeing him 5 years ago.

The doctor was really nice. The front office lead girl doesn't check insurance properly, basically argued with me about checking it. Said she could tell what it is just by looking at the color of the card, which is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, I thought this was a waste of time, the doctor did not seem to be too knowledgeable of hemorrhoids, had I have known I would not have made this visit, didn't seem to answer my questions regarding the hemorrhoids.

No one likes to go in for a colonoscopy, but they did everything they could to make the procedure as pleasant as possible.

Dr. Shindel was very attentive and very professional and I really appreciated his bedside manner. He's a very rare doctor to find, to listen to everything that you have to say. The staff was excellent as well. I did have to wait about a half hour before they called me in, but it was my first appointment so that was probably to be expected. However, it took me over six weeks to get an appointment and that's not acceptable. And it's probably out of his control or the office's control, but I just wanted for the sake of the healthcare entity, I wanted to say that that's not acceptable, that their patient load is so much.

Friendly medical staff. Appreciate the refreshments. Very clean & tidy examination rooms.

It was impossible to reach the front desk. When calling in, the message says that the office is closed even during working hours. I waited on hold for a while then was given the option to receive a call back without losing my place in line so I elected that option. Two hours went by and I did not receive a call back. When I arrived at the office the 4 front desk office staff didn't greet me initially and they were standing around just talking about non work-related things. The staff member that took my vitals said she tried to call me to move my appointment and she appeared to be irritated that I didn't return her call (even though I did but couldn't get through). The doctor himself was amazing! He listened intently to everything I had to share and took immediate action to help me get to the root of my problems. He was kind, funny, and caring. He took his time getting my medical history and trying to put the pieces together. He explained things in a way that was easy to understand without talking down to me or making me feel stupid for not already knowing. At the end of my initial assessment I shared with the doctor that he did more for me in that one appointment than any specialist has ever done to help me with my GI issues. I'm very grateful for this health care provider but it would be great if the front office staff was better trained in customer service, tactful communication, and time management to provide higher level service to patients at the front desk. I think Dr. Alex Shindel is excellent. I would highly recommend him to anybody. There is one girl that works in staff and she helps to schedule appointments and that. There is more than one girl but I don't know this one's name. She was just okay. She was not really friendly and she looked like maybe she was having a bad day but it did reflect on her performance as I was in the medical field. So that's it. Thank you.

The nurse was very kind and smiled, was friendly. Dr. Shindel was very friendly as well and explained many things. However, the operator, the desk person, speaks too quickly, cannot speak. I could not understand her. I had to call back a couple of times and speak to somebody else. She speaks too quickly and jams her words together and it makes it really difficult in understanding. Thank you. This was the person who ever answered the phone, the receptionist, the operator at the desk, I don't know who it is. She did not give her name. Thank you.

I was supposed to have the colonoscopy 3 yrs out from last time. Making that April 2023. Got no reminder notification. Only remembered when my wife did her 5 yr one in Dec 2023. She didn't get a reminder either.

I really appreciate the respect and patience and good eye contact and his professionalism. I also want to say that for the past several months I've been getting calls from this very number from Dr. Alex's office about an annual review, that I need an annual person. I do not, I hope I do not get these calls again. I had to call the complaint office at PIH to get it finally corrected. So yeah, I hope that recurring issue is taken care of. Thank you. I thought the visit was overall very good, and I was seen in a timely fashion, and all the professionals were respectful. Dr. Shindel woke me after the procedure and so I was not able to ask him questions. They occurred to me after I'd been awake for a minute or two, but he was gone and the nurse had to answer my questions. That was the only negative feedback, or feedback that could be improved was that if I'm going to have an opportunity to speak with the doctor, that I should be woken up a few minutes prior, so that I can get my wits about me so that I can ask the provider directly the questions, that I need to have answered.
