The provider constantly reminded me he was not my primary care and he was retiring soon. So he was unable to continue my care in the manner I needed. He was only able to prescribe a prescription and did not continuously answer my questions for further treatment.

The nurse at this appointment was amazing. She was very personable. I enjoyed it. Thank you.

The staff at the desk when you enter is always very helpful and kind. Dr. Holmes is very understanding, will explain things to you and answer your questions. And his staff are very kind also. It's a very positive experience.

The nurses, when they come in, they were fine. They asked me the right questions, and they were very, very helpful. And Dr. Holmes, as he come in, and he always asked me the right stuff. I know I've been with him a long, long time. So he's a good doctor. I thank him.

When I told the back office that I do not go through PIH for Physical Therapy because they do a terrible job. I told her also to just give me a prescription to PPT for Therapy. I do not need an approval to go to Therapy. I have a PPO. She said we don't do that you have to get approval. I told her I don't need approval for my insurance company. I just need the prescription. She then proceeds to give my order to PIH which I refuse to go to since they are so horrible. Yesterday I received a phone call that I was approved to go to PIH even though I told her I go to PPT they should be more considerate in the back office. The girl I spoke to was very rude , this is why I do not go to PIH for anything I go to USC. They are best and very professional.

I tried to ask Dr. Holmes about the results of the pelvic ultrasound done a couple of days earlier and he told me he had other patients waiting. I asked him about the x-rays on my lungs and heart taken at Urgent Care a couple of days ago and he didn't seem interested in looking at those if he could avoid it. When the medical assistant gave me a prescription for a rash she told me to check with my PCP in 3 days. I told her I couldn't get an appointment with her and that's why she referred me to Dr. Holmes so what was the purpose? She said she would ask Dr. Holmes and I rolled my eyes and said, Never mind. Other than looking at the rash on my legs he had no interest in answering questions or treating my swollen knee, ankle, and toes.

It was a routine exam. Dr Holmes asked me what health issue I was experiencing. I told him about the discomfort on the corner of my swollen right eye. He looked at my eye and said that I had a stye. He told me to place a hot compress on my eye. He prescribed an ointment. That was the end of my visit. Fast but effective. The stye is almost gone.

I have been seeing Dr. Holmes for at least 30 years. Half of my life! He answers my questions clearly and with evidence based information. Violeta is a caring and skilled partner in the family practice office. She is both efficient and effective and I have appreciated her attention and friendly manner. Leaving my well-woman check-up, I felt like my health status was thoroughly addressed.

Had to wait six weeks for an appointment after being with PIH Physicians, Bright Medical, Dr (two names removed) for sixty years. Not a good experience!

Dr Holmes has a straight forward, professional, no nonsense approach and I trust in his diagnoses without a doubt. He has been our family physician for over 40 years, and has saved my bacon thru prostate cancer, back surgery diagnosis and management of my type 2 diabetes. I would recommend him to anyone!

I tried to get an appointment with my doctor. My doctor wasn't available, so they gave me this other doctor, which I wanted to go over my blood test with because I did have a stye. So he only took care of the stye and told me I would have to make an appointment with my regular doctor for the blood test results, which didn't make sense because I know they're in the system. He just said he couldn't go over them with me, which was... I felt like, why couldn't any doctor go over them with me? Why did it have to be my doctor? So I just didn't like that part.

Dr Holmes and his staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Listens carefully to my concerns and was able to put my mind at ease. Solved my issue.

I've been going to this office for years and years, probably 40 plus years, and I always feel welcome. I always feel comfortable. Questions are always answered. I never leave there thinking I forgot something. If I did, it's my fault, not theirs. Very, very wonderful staff. The nurse, I think it's (name removed), I think. Yeah, she's a sweetheart. I hope I said her name right. And Dr. Holmes is just a wonderful man. I'm very happy to go to this office at any time.

Like the saying goes," good things must come to an end ". I've been a patient of Dr. Holmes since I was ten years old. I'm fifty one, and I don't think a lot of people are fortunate enough to say that. I think that says a lot about Dr. Holmes. I know one day he will retire, and I will have to find another doctor, and I don't look forward to that day. He has given me advice about health issues, and ways to improve my health, and I've been able to stay healthy because of him. I have trusted him literally with my life. I have enjoyed every single visit, and enjoyed our conversations we've had throughout the years. I hope I'm able to have many more of those in the coming years.

When I was trying to get in to see a doctor, I had been calling for three days and no one would refer me to anybody. Finally, when I called and they referred me to him, I actually got to see him the day after I called and got an appointment. And he was reliable and I liked him. I kind of wish that he was my prime physician. Thank you.

The only thing I would say is that I never know if the doctor is returning to the room after he leaves. Yes, he has answered my questions, but I sit wondering if I should wait or? So I wait, and thankfully an assistant returns to end the visit.

Excellent care

Dr Holmes gave me 2 separate medications that had horrible side effects when paired with the other meds I'm prescribed. My eyes are yellow, I've been vomiting, and my original issue still has no end date in sight. Staff couldn't offer any advice other than "make an appointment" when called.

I have been a patient of Dr Holmes for 42 years he has never kept me waiting and always answers my questions. I trust his knowledge. He has only had 2 assistants and both (Two names removed) rock. I lived in Montana for 11 years but still made arrangement's to fly out for my visit's. He can never retire!!!

The call center scheduled an incorrect visit. It was a physical, so that had to get changed. And then I was handed a piece of paper saying this is what a physical covers, so you can't talk about anything other than your physical. So that was a first. So that was, you know, could be afraid to bring up things if it's an extra charge. So just wanted to make that clear that that was that. That's it.

Sometimes the most important part of a follow up visit is the reassurance that everything is OK. This visit set my soul at peace. When stress is gone each day looks and feels better. I am grateful for Dr. Holmes and all of the staff in that office.

The attending doctor had a student with them and was distracted by that. I did not feel like he addressed my issue. I asked for a treatment plan and was left with a vague thought about physical therapy.

Everything at the doctor's visit was excellent. I had a very good visit and very happy. However, I did not realize that having a late appointment was not a good thing because I fasted all day yesterday. I ate my dinner at 6 o'clock and I had a snack again at 11 p.m. so that I could be ready for this appointment. But I did not realize that your blood draw was closed by the time I got down there. The office hours do not coincide with doctor's hours. I was very disappointed to see that the blood draw down on the first floor was not open. Somehow, they should have hours that coincide with doctor's hours visits. Now I have to come back.

Dr. Holmes has been the family doctor for well over 30 years- he is well- informed, provides the patient with precise and accurate instructions, feedback and information at every visit. We would very much love him to be my mother-in-law's PCP (she recently moved here from Nevada); but we were sad to hear he is not taking any new patients. Dr. Holmes helps patient's understand their concerns without ever alarming them. No matter the ailment Dr.Holmes provides his patients with the information they need to get better- along with a great sense of humor!! Dr.Holmes and his nurse are the dynamic duo of helpfulness, compassion and kindness!!!

Great experience. Dr. Holmes was fantastic as well as his nurse. Very efficient made you feel comfortable discussed your situation and left feeling like I was provided the best quality care love PIH and my doctor and his nurse.

We have had this doctor for many, many years and have been satisfied. The last visit, he did not even look at us and just tapped on the computer, took care of the first item we came in for and was gone. We had to ask the nurse assistant to see if he was coming back in to the room and she said he was on to his next patient. I know this is the way the medical practice is headed but it was surprising to experience it personally.

I used to ne with Kaiser for many years. I switched to PIH because I was told they were better than Kaiser. Well let me tell you, it was a big mistake!!! I been having some work related stress issues, headaches, lack of sleep and other issues. I made an appointment to see a doctor and get a doctor's note. They wouldn't give me one. They sent me to my doctor, they wouldn't give me one there also. They told me to come ro urgent care. At first they wanted to send me back to my doctor. Now I been waiting over an hour.. This place sucks!! I'm going to my HR, to drop you guys from our insurance plan. Kaiser here I come!!

I was disappointed as the main purpose of my visit was to obtain a referral for a urologist. Although Dr. Holmes informed me I would've had to make my appointment with my primary doctor. I am puzzled by this as the last two referrals I received were from a PA. I took time off work, drove to this appointment, paid a $20 a co-pay and accomplish nothing.

He listened to me and explained everything

I arrived and was checked in already. They took me a few minutes early. He was upfront and clear, asking and answering questions. He looked at me when speaking not the computer screen.

Why does it take so long to get an appointment with a specialist after you're referred to one by your PCP?

Dr Holmes was very rude and condescending I felt as though I was there bothering him. He made it a point that he's not my pcp and made me feel as tho it was my fault for not having X-rays that he seemed to not be able to find in my chart. I was just following instructions from the urgent care to follow up on my X-rays I don't know how he has lasted this long if he hates his job he should retire not take it out on patients

This office was really, the MA front office is awesome. The doctor that I saw did not listen to me. He basically told me that he didn't know what it was and he did not listen to me.

There's a disconnection between human beings and the staff. There's no appreciation for people's time. It's very difficult to get someone to even check you in. My mother waited in a wheelchair for over 15 minutes just to get checked in for her appointment.

Dr. Holmes, is probably one of the greatest doctors I've never met. However, to try and get an appointment with him and get through PIH is, to go to the front door is very difficult. But once you get to see Dr. Holmes, he's one of the most trustworthy, most knowledgeable, greatest doctors I've ever met.
