Dr. Kuo knew he chose the right profession when he became a radiologist. “I wanted an occupation where I could have a positive impact on others. Medicine enables me to apply my strengths and passion in the sciences to help others.” A breast imaging specialist, he calls mammography “one of the few clinically proven methods of detecting cancer early” and says that dynamic, state-of-the-art technology such as CT, MRI and PET scans allow for faster, more accurate diagnoses. “It brings me great joy to work with patients to catch cancer early,” he adds.
Dr. Kuo enjoys his aquarium with his Discus collection and he also played the cello in his high school orchestra and chamber music groups.
