All doctors are great at PIH. Dr. (name removed), Dr. Yen, and Von Dock, they've been great, wonderful doctors. The only thing is not enough appointments. You have to wait months at a time. When you're sick, you want to be seen as soon as possible. But sometimes you have to wait for a couple of months. That's the only thing.

I've been with Doctor Yen since she came to PIH. She's never lost her passion and enthusiasm . Best GP I've ever had.

I scheduled my physical. I was very disappointed to find out that you're no longer able to ask whatever questions. Right before I came in, I gave them my information. They signed me up. They provided me with a note or a paper sheet saying questions that can be asked and questions that are not allowed to ask or if they're going to charge you. I have not seen Dr. Yen. It was my yearly physical over a year. Before I was able to ask questions. This time I felt I was scared that if I ask any question, I'll get billed. So I was not very happy this time around with the provider. The fact that I couldn't speak freely about my health and usually I only see her once a year for my physical unless there's something going on. For me, that was very disappointing and I will be looking for another provider, another doctor. I take my dad to another doctor and they never give him a sheet of paper saying these are questions you're allowed to ask and these are not the questions you're no longer

I felt like she really didn't hear me out in my weight issue and automatically had me scheduled for a follow up with another md 3 months out. I want to discuss weight loss option now not in 3 months. Just because I saw another md before she wants me to see her again. I don't have a pcp, I always just see whoever so I felt like she didn't want to deal with me and my weight concern.

Very positive. productive & prompt with Dr. Yen. (My issue is with the lab. Who is the manager there? In a nutshell, I was there 36 minutes w/ only 2 people ahead of me when I came in. When I asked front desk the delay staff said still working on order. Once inside technician told me "could not find codes". My order was a TSH repeat of the prior week nothing significant. No respect for our time. Happened around 10 am 8/22/2024.)

Dr, the assistant, front desk, lab, and X-ray staff all showed professionalism and efficiency.

Discussing options for a new medication Dr. Yen explained all side effects and made me aware because of other medical issues I have I decided not to take the new medication I had requested . Appreciate her taking the time to inform me about the side effects that may or may not be beneficial for my health.

One of my biggest concerns with my doctor's visit was I was given referrals to other doctors, which is fine, but I didn't get any feedback as to what the situation or condition might be. And I'd really like to, when I visit a doctor, get some information on what their thoughts are that may be causing the pain or what the condition may be. And I realize they can't always do that without tests being done first or going to another doctor, but it just seems like I could have been given more information in response to my concerns. When I arrived the front desk handed me a paper that basically stated if I asked or mentioned any medical issues or concerns outside of the physical I would be charged more money. So with that ... I was afraid to say anything at all. When I left I thought ... that is a really bad to give to patients. This appointment was set for ME and is MY visit with my doctor. I should not be hesitant to talk about my heath. I was even asked if I had any pain or concerns so should I say if I do or will I be charged extra for the questions I'm being asked. So disappointing. Everything other than that was great as always.

Dr. Yen, definitely put me at ease by answering some questions I had from previous visits. Very professional and great bedside manner.

I love my doctor and she always takes her time and talks with me and answers my questions and we even have a good laugh sometimes.

The doctor was very nice - I am 60 and have had breast exams since my late 20's due to my family history with breast cancer - it seemed like maybe she was a little reluctant to do the exam -at least compared to past exams I have had - in the end I asked her to double check where I felt the lump - and asked her if she felt it - she didn't really say and said to get a mammogram which I am past due for one - I guess I just wanted to know if what I was feeling was correct-maybe she couldn't confirm-either way I will get the mammogram and take it from there

Dr Yen was great. The wait time was minimal. She listened well and explained things well to me about what was going on and the plan. I had to go back today to get a larger sized brace and her assistant was very gracious in providing one for me

First appointment I've been able to get with her in two and a half years. My next appointment is April of next year. The purpose for this appointment was because she would not refill my medication until she saw me. You need to hire more doctors. If I really needed to see her it would potentially take 5-6 months...not acceptable.
