It took months to get an appointment.

It took too long to get the referral, three months, and it was difficult to get a hold of the office to confirm or to ask questions about the appointment.

Yes, he was a great doctor. He treated me well. He showed concern. He explained everything to me. I really, really appreciate it.

I love Dr. Kurban. He is very friendly and explains everything clearly - even drawing on whiteboard to explain my condition more clearly. Practical and courteous.

I felt rushed. I felt like the visit wasn't even necessary. Everything i was told could have been handled over the phone. My testosterone is low. I feel like crap. I stopped taking non prescribed testosterone with hope that I would be given a legal script. Instead i was told to not take any. In a few years it will start to replenish on its own. I was trying to get the proper dose to avoid medical complications in the future. Oh well, I'll suffer for a year and then get retested with another provider. Thanks for nothing.

The receptionist, nurse and especially the doctor provided me with attention and interest in my case in an excellent way, thank you very much.

This Doctor is very polite and answered all the questions I asked him. He checked my thyroid. I've seen this doctor 3 times, he seems very nice, but I will see another doctor next time.

Staff could be more friendly, ?, the greeter. Introduce yourself when coming into the room to take vitals, ask personal questions would be nice! Customer service/care could be better....Dr was nice

Dr.Kurban actually appears to care and be very attentive to what is being discussed . In addition , he is very polite and sincere .

Dr. Kurban was just wonderful. My daughter came with me, and we had just an amazing visit with him, and how he knew the human body, how he looked over my history, the suggestions that he had. It was educational and very pleasant, and the staff was very lovely. So it really was one of the best visits I've had with a doctor. I highly recommend him, and I'm very appreciative.

He was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. He explained everything and I understood what he said. He listened to my concerns about my medication dose and prescribed my medication quickly. He was very kind and respectful. Took his time in listening to the material I had read in a special publication I have in my home. Truly appreciated when he mentioned that he prays for his patients. That is kindness to a higher level.

This is the first time I met this provider and I felt like I went into a drive-thru. It was very fast and he didn't even introduce himself, like how long has he been practicing. It would have taken, I would have liked if he asked me more questions and all that. Thank you.

All very good and always kind in particular

I waited about three months for my appointment. I waited about three months for about a five-minute conversation. I was just prescribed a medication, and it was a six-month supply. I wasn't really given any room to have a checkup to see how the medication was going to affect me or if it was going to have any positive or negative effects. I was just given a six-month supply. There were no tests really ran, actually no tests at all, to maybe figure out what was going on. I was referred by my OBGYN, and I had some labs there, but as far as getting down to the root of the problem, the doctor said,

Took several months to get an appointment. Dr was late and spent a few minutes with me. No one in the lobby waiting. No explanation as to why it should take months to get seen. At the office for over an hour and 10 max with the Dr. When I left there were 2 people in the lobby waiting. I exited the elevator and seen the Dr again with a coffee heading back up. The staff should value our time just as much as they except us to value theirs.

Dr. Kurban has a very good bedside manner, is very friendly, and he's really a nice doctor to work with.

I noticed the paper on the exam table in the room for vitals was USED before me as it was dishelved and wrinkled. I commented and the aide sort of smurked. I didn't feel comfortable but sat down . NOT A HAPPY CAMPER during this visit. YUK!

Good Staff Good Doctor Good Experience Will Be Back!

Waiting for this appointment was a whole hour, provided I spent five minutes not satisfied at all, no satisfaction whatsoever.

It takes way too long to get an appointment. I had to wait about three months to get scheduled, but luckily there was a cancellation and I was able to see him sooner. But other than that, having to wait so long is not a good.

Dr. Kurban was professional, courteous and knowledgeable, answered my questions with easy to understand language.

This was the first time meeting with this physician. So far so good.

I have found Dr Kurban's "bedside manner" the best among the endocrinologists I have visited, and I have much respect for his professionalism and knowledge.

He is a good doctor. I have no being a doctor myself. He spent the right amount of time with me. He did ask the right questions. Please try to hang on to him. I've been through three previous endocrinologists at PIH. Gastrointestinal is the only one who seems to stay.

I suppose to get a prescription and is been 3 days after my last appointment and the pharmacy hasn't received anything. And also I told the Dr. I was very depressed and he said I'm sorry! My next appointment is in 3 months. He said he's going to help me, but i feel very hopeless because the psychiatrist treatment is not working well. What is next???

Dr Kurban is a very good Doctor

For being a first time doctor, he was very attentive to what I said. And some of the things I didn't even ask him, he said he saw my chart. And so he really told me that everything was more or less really good, and so I really liked him. Thank you.

For me, everything was excellent. The doctor was very kind and all the questions we asked, he answered them correctly. He's 100% trustworthy. Thanks so much for having him.

The assistant who took me back to take my blood pressure did not put clean paper on the seat until I asked her to. You could tell that it was sat on and wrinkled. I'd appreciate a clean sheet.

My appt was at 3pm I didn't see the doctor until 3:45pm. That's too long of a wait when I have an appt at 3pm. Especially when they would only give me a 10 minutes grace period. Waited 10-15 minutes for the nurse to give me my new appt paperwork.

Good staff. First time meeting Doctor Kurban. Nice man. Gave me some good advice in my eating habits.

No didn't seam yo spend enough time with me any listen to me all the way

Front office clerk was exceptionally courteous and attentive to my questions about my appt and general info. Dr was professional and explained information very well. However there was a moment where I asked if I could ask a question during his overview of the "medication" where I noticed he seemed bothered by my interruption. I asked bc I didnt want to forget. He answered my question and continued with the explanation he was providing.

The appointment was not on time. It was 25 minutes late. Thank you.

Pleasure meeting Dr for the first time.

Dr. Kurban was good, but when he ordered an ultrasound without letting me know or explain why he did, I was somewhat put off. Not once did he mention what his plan was for my care. He listened to my concerns and history, but he failed to communicate what he was thinking and what his approach to my care will be. Better communications would be better.

Dr. Kurban was an excellent doctor. Very thorough, asked a lot of questions, got the information, and explained all of the orders correctly. Thank you.

I have very bad head sweats. I was recommended to go Endocrinologist. I was hoping he would go over lab reports with me to see if there was any thing that I could do. I had previous lab test from another hospital. I brought those in for him to check out. He just discounted that. He asked me do you have Amazon? I said yes. He recommended an herbal capsule. That was it. I just didn't feel like He was trying to figure out some way to help me

This was my first visit with Dr. Kurban and he was attentive and listened to my concerns. I couldn't have asked for a better endocrinologist.

The provider projected a very genuine care of patients and I really appreciate it. I walked out of my appointment feeling excited to have him as my dr.

Yeah, I believe scheduling is a concern. I called in March to be making an appointment with Dr. Gastelum, and I was told by his office staff that the first available was not until September. And that's why I was scheduled with the other Dr. Kurban, who I just saw this week. I signed up to see Dr. (name removed), and now I'm being moved over to Dr. Kurban because (name removed) is not available, at least not in a timely manner. Being diabetic, I should have my A1C and my blood work checked every three to four months. So having to wait until September was just not an option for me. So that's my concern. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. The only thing they should have is some tablets with interpreters. That be great so that we can explain things very well. I understood the doctor, but I would like them to have an interpret so that one can explain things better. Thank you so much. That's the only thing because everything was fine.

Doctor was polite and professional

He was a new doctor to me and he was not well informed of my situation. He gave me some wrong information, but was corrected by the nurse.

It is next to impossible to get an appointment at this office. Something has to be done so patients aren't waiting 4-6 months for an appointment. The doctor always says to come back if there's an issue but in order to come back you have to wait another 6 months. It's ridiculous. Get more doctors at this office so patients can be seen in a reasonable amount of time.

He explained everything perfectly, I understood everything and I am grateful for his attention, thank you bye.

Too much waiting. I scheduled the 1st apt. Waited 20 minutes B4 going into exam room. Tech spent 2 minutes with me, took me to another room and I waited another 20 minutes for the Dr. This is similar to my my experiences at all PIH facilities. I will look for other options.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with PIH. He came in with no files, not even in his hand, or on a computer. He was unaware of why I was there, never shared my exact numbers with my results, and asked when I would like to come back. Did not tell me when he recommended that I come back. The absolute worst doctor I have ever had.

Wait took longer than expected.

I was very impressed with the doctor. He assured me that he can help. What a relief! He is very kind and compassionate as well. Can't say enough good/great things about him thus far!

I would've liked to have a little bit longer of a conversation with him because he took over from my previous endocrinologist who recently left to work at another medical center.

This was my first time to meet this doctor. I had a good experience. I will make another appointment with this doctor. He was professional and caring.

It would be nice to have the office staff be a little nicer and patient. Not rush you out of the office before asking questions about lab work or scheduling. They don't show any interest in what you have to say or questions you have. It's always a rush feeling.

I just met Dr. Kurban that day and he was with me for about 5 minutes or so. So I really don't know him and I won't see him again until next year. So it's difficult for me to give you any in depth opinion.

This doctor gave me full attention and I was very happy with that. And I could tell he was missing me. I'm very happy with my new doctor.

Doc is wonderful Pih admin needs to pick it up to his level. How do you make an appointment with this office and wait from August to December? PIH is an embarrassment to this doctors level of care the admin should be ashamed of itself.

Trying to make an appointment at this office is extremely difficult. I was on hold for multiple phone calls for 30 minutes or more. However, once I was able to get an appointment and get into the office, the office staff was very kind and welcoming. I did have to wait about 45 minutes for the doctor after my appointment. He was running late because of traffic, but everybody was really nice. Thankfully, I did not have anywhere to be immediately after my appointment. But just making an appointment at this office specifically is extremely difficult. Thank you so much.

Hi, I am so grateful to the staff. I really will be missing Dr. (name removed), but I'm grateful that his staff is there and that the new doctor I have is going to take good care of me. I use the Dexcom and the Omnipod and everybody is very kind and sweet and I feel well taken care of. Thank you very much for the office over there on Washington Boulevard. Well, my experience with Dr. Kurban was excellent. He's a very professional, nice guy, really like a patient on dialysis 13 years and after kidney transplant. He is my best, I mean, he was, that was my excellent experience with my specialist. So I really appreciate him and I'm very happy with his attention and everything about the office. I don't have any more comments like I definitely recommended him in the office.

Endocrinology office is slow. Appointment was at 9:00am. Doctor didn't come in until 9:30. Office needs to be able to schedule appointments a year in advance.

I felt comfortable for my first visit

Yes, good afternoon. This is for Dr. Kurban. Yes, he actually did take care of the visit for me and I would refer him to my family. I wasn't sure what the question was for number nine, so I did want to make sure that he gets a positive outcome for the survey.
