Katrine Zhiroff MD is a board-certified interventional cardiologist specializing in heart disease in women, coronary artery disease, coronary artery angioplasty and stenting, peripheral vascular disease and heart failure. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from UCLA and receiving a doctorate in medicine from the UC San Diego, she completed both an internship and residency at Los Angeles County - Harbor UCLA Medical Center. She later participated in a subspecialty fellowship in cardiovascular disease as well as an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology through Harbor UCLA and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, receiving a ‘Fellow of the Year’ teaching award. As a professional, Dr. Zhiroff values the importance of understanding patients’ challenges to provide them with the best treatment.
“Cardiology is a specialty that ranges from preventative medicine to emergency life-saving procedures for patients,” explains Dr. Zhiroff. “As a cardiologist, I have the privilege of forming long-lasting bonds with my patients as I help them manage their chronic condition.”
In her free time, Dr. Zhiroff enjoys hiking and skiing with her family as well as traveling internationally to support women entrepreneurs in the developing world.
