Dr. Park says he chose to go into medicine because when he was a young child and his family immigrated to the United States, they were too poor to afford medical care. “When someone got sick, there was always a panic, and I didn’t like that feeling,” he says. “I decided I could do something about it by becoming a doctor.”
In his practice, Dr. Park uses minimally invasive techniques to treat his patients with numerous complex vascular disease and a variety of nonvascular conditions. In his spare time, Dr. Park leads international medical missions; and he is thankful for the various items donated by both PIH Health campuses to help the cause. Most recently, he traveled to Uganda for two weeks to provide free basic healthcare along side local African doctors serving in U.N. Refugee camps and in the local prisons.
