Dr. Pardo completed his medical school degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his residency at the PIH UCI Family Medicine/Tropical Medicine Program. During medical school he understood the importance of community service and the great need for providing efficient, effective, and affordable healthcare to all, especially to underserved populations. During residency he participated in various community outreach programs and also had an opportunity to develop his leadership skills as Co-Chief Resident. He was also part of the Tropical Medicine Program through which he had an opportunity to work in Cameroon and Zambia. His professional and personal experiences during these international rotations motivated him to serve as a medical missionary. Upon completing his residency training in 2009, he subsequently relocated to Kenya, East Africa where he served as a medical volunteer at several mission hospitals located in remote areas of the country that were afflicted by poverty, illness, and lack of access to healthcare. Dr. Pardo returned to the PIH-UCI Family Medicine Residency Program in 2012 where he continues to enjoy teaching and practicing the full scope of Family Medicine.
