Jorge Echeverri MD has been practicing Family Medicine for over 25 years. Raised in Colombia in South America, Dr. Echeverri always knew he wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Echeverri’s brother and his sister both work in the medical field, including his niece who is a Pediatrician in Florida. Dr. Echeverri completed medical school in Colombia in 1983 and worked in the countryside after graduating. Dr. Echeverri completed his residency in California, and began his work as a family practice doctor. Though both his uncle and his brother are Internal Medicine physicians, Dr. Echeverri felt drawn to family practice because it applies to a broader spectrum of learning. He loves helping families, and sharing what he knows about the human body in all its dimensions. Dr. Echeverri is married with two children. He loves to go camping, and enjoys jet skiing and scuba diving.

I would like it if every time they do take my tests, if they would give me the results sooner because they never call me to tell me what happened with the results. I have a new appointment every two or three months, and so I think it's too much. I would like to know what's going on with my health as soon as they have the results.

Okay, this is (PHI removed) and I've been with this service, this hospital service for over 30 years. And Dr. Echeverri is probably the best physician I've had in all that time. What could be done better would be very hard to get an appointment. I recognize you're busy, but it is hard to get an appointment. You have to wait a long time. And that for me is a bit of a problem because I'm 80 years old. I'm a senior citizen and waiting is a challenge. But overall, I wouldn't blame Dr. Echaverri for that, of course.

I only trust Dr. Echeverri with my health. I tried other doctors with PIH and unfortunately there is no other doctor as good as Dr. Echeverri. If he ever decides to retire, I will definitely leave PIH.
