The only thing that set me back on giving a perfect service recommendation is the fact that the dr confused me with another patient at our greeting, he referenced their medical history not mine. That was the only snag in this visit.

Great service

If a cancerous polyp was seen three or two yrs ago why wasn't it made clear to me. Someone told me this time regarding last time I was colonescapied. This time the fecal matter was not completely out so, procedure was aborted. I am wondering if I have a possibility of a future polyp that can rapture and release it's venom. I will not say who told me, but I am thankful they did, but now i need the next colonoscopy to find out truth. Now how soon can it be done?

I rated all the services to the top level. I do want to point out that charging a parking fee of $5 for each visit is unreasonable. Parking ticket should be validated when visiting for the medical services in the building.

Ashok is an amazing doctor who pretty much caught my stomach cancer, my lymphoma, very early and was very thorough and very swift in figuring out how to take care of my condition. The whole process of the colonoscopy procedure was great... Dr Ashok and GI team was great and Dr (name removed) help me feel relax and confident that I was going to be well taken care of

I feel as if he didn't listen to what I had to say , my voice my concerns. He made me feel like I am as big as an elephant. I take full ownership for my health and what needs to be done for me to lose weight. He had , No empathy at all. It's like all he wanted to say is get the surgery and saw that as a result.

Dr Ashok did my endoscopy at PIH Whittier Hospital. I had an excellent experience from check in to all the nurses providing excellent care throughout my procedure. The anesthesiologist was excellent. Each person listened to everything I had to say and explained what was going to happen every step of the way. Dr. Ashok was fantastic. He explained what he was going to do every step of the way. He answered all my questions. He was absolutely fantastic. I could not have been happier or been treated with more care by each person from beginning to end. I was in great hands. Hi, I just want to say that the whole staff from the beginning to the end was completely great and awesome. I felt very comfortable and relaxed the whole time without any issues. Everybody was willing to answer any questions and was very caring to my needs. I really appreciated everyone that helped me out, the nurses including, I think, the nurse that was assigned to me both in the beginning and during the procedures are excellent providers. I really liked the doctor. He was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and he did sit and talk with me. It was just the length of time I had to wait to get in to see somebody. It's like that with every doctor. So my primary is Dr. (name removed), and I have to wait months unless I see somebody else in the group. And even then, it's at least a month. Thank you.

Wow! My experience was perfect from start to finish. Communication was excellent with every person I interacted with whether it was an office staff member or nurse. This was a new experience with this doctor. He had study my records and knew exactly what he was looking for prior to my procedure. Excellent bedside manner and communicator. Hate the $5 parking fee. Bad enough when it was $3. No one can get out in 30 minutes because it takes that long to be seen by the doctor.

PIH is phenomenal, I'm very very happy to part of your network, I've had nothing but great care when it comes to my health!

By the office I assume you mean the lab where the procedure was done. I have never been to the office of this doctor The lab was very clean and the nurses were all very kind The only problem I had was with the young man who called me the day before the procedure to confirm I would be there. He was rude to me and chastised me for not coming in sooner and that it had been four years ago since my last exam. I tried to tell him I have been down recovering from major surgery and rehab for the past year. He didn't care. I also had trouble trying to schedule my appointment because Dr (name removed) retired and you guys changed the way you do things. (two names removed) office was rude and did not explain what your new plan is he just transferred me back to the scheduling office or disconnect me. My doctor Dr (name removed) finally explained the change in PIH scheduling for procedures. Other than that things were fine. Both the anesthesiologist and doctor were very nice

Staff including Dr were all polite, professional and kept me informed all through the procedure.

When the colonoscopy was performed, the prep, the nurse, when she went to put the IV needle, it hurted very, very much and badly bruised me. I'm still badly bruised after two days after the procedure. It's a big gray area, gray and purple. She could have been more careful with the puncture and putting in the IV. Thank you.

Very professional and courteous and compassionate

The hospital beds need to have thicker mattresses. I'm a big guy, so after just a few minutes, it went flat and I could not rest. And the hospital beds also need to be able to go lower because I was not able to get out of the bed on my own. I needed help. And sometimes when I called for a nurse, it took quite a while for them to respond. So I don't know if maybe you need a little more people on staff or what.

Everyone in the office is professional. Your front office girls are very caring. I appreciate this because customer service seems to be a thing of the past. This office is exceptionally well aware of the patients needs.

This Dr. had poor bed side manner. Made me feel as if the pain that I have is not real. He said that pancreatic cysts do n ot hurt. He is not in my body or is suffering with pain as I am. I kept telling him Inwas in excruciating pain and he didn't seem to care.

Dr. Ashok thoroughly explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I appreciated his suggestions. He is very compassionate and patient.

I am particularly very satisfied, very, very satisfied with the entire staff, the nurses, starting from the nurses. They're all very attentive, starting from the front desk. That was very impressive. I accidentally went to the second floor on my appointment, not knowing I was supposed to (INAUDIBLE) next floor up, and it left a lot to be desired, and I pretty much told the person that he was very abrupt, very rough. So when I went up to the actual office where I stopped on the floor, and I don't remember what floor that was, I got a totally different response. Very, very good, like I said, from the front desk all the way through all the nurses and staff and the assistants. So that left me very, very impressed and very happy. Thank you.

I was very nervous going into this appointment , doctor A. was absolutely amazing. He was soft spoken and listened to me, he answered all my questions. The nurses and the staff were very, very professional, very courteous. They listened to everything I had to say and made me feel very comfortable. The doctor listened to what I had to say, but he did not explain everything at the end and he should have spent more time telling me what to expect. That would be my only concern, that I bled afterwards and I wasn't sure how much was acceptable or not and he didn't explain it to me. But otherwise, it wasn't a bad experience. Thank you.

I am a seizure patient, prepping for the colonoscopy was challenging. By the time I reached the office I was not well. I asked the front office if they could accommodate me and let me lay down on a bed until I was called in. They would not. Said there were no beds ready. Please note, I was the first scheduled patient. I expressed my dissatisfaction and did not believe that no beds were available. I had to go lay down in my car until I was called, in which my wife had to go back downstairs to the parking lot to gather me and bring me back up to the floor.Perhaps a review of that policy should be made for consideration of your disabled patients.

All was excellent except the young lady sitting behind desk and computer, face unseen from where I sat. She called out my first name a couple of times from behind the computer screen expecting that someone should know she was " calling out" for a patient- me. I believe she should show her face by maybe standing up or not being hidden behind the computer screen. Expectations- quite impersonal- some of which is on her, some of which is the office set up. Otherwise she was quite nice.

Front office staff were friendly and professional. However, felt with the amount of people I. Waiting area answering my personal questions out loud back to the clerk is a privacy concern. Maybe work on a way to ask less personal questions out loud like DOB or health answers. Made me feel uncomfortable. Other than that everything else went smooth and would recommend to others.

This comment is mainly about the reception staff. I was sitting in the waiting room for about 20 minutes until I was told I needed to wear a mask before I went to the back for my procedure, in which my mask would be taken off anyway. I understand it's an "LA County" mandate, however, when I went to the back there were several nurses and other staff not wearing one. Other patients did not have a mask on at all. I felt coerced and if I didn't put the mask on I wouldn't be seen. Then in recovery, a nurse handed me a mask and told me I could put it on if I prefer. Everyone is over these "mandates". PIH Needs to stick up for their patients and now bow to Dr. (name removed) rules. This was truly disappointing.

The doctor was very nice, very patient, and I appreciated everything he told me. Trying to get an appointment was horrible.

Yes, it would be nice to actually be able to meet with the doctor prior to the procedure so that you can go over your complaints, your ailments, and maybe the procedures, especially if you and the doctor are new to each other.

When scheduling appointment for a morning I was told the doctor only does afternoon. I asked for a doctor that does morning appointments was told I couldn't change doctors then they mentioned I would have to be approved. I've been at this office about 3-4 yrs I shouldn't be concerned as a new patient. I left very frustrated.
