Brent Gray MD is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with almost 30 years of experience and commitment to his patients in the Greater Whittier area. Dr. Gray cares for women across their entire life span, improving their lives with needs in areas such as birth control, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, sexual health and of course delivering babies. Dr. Gray is a specialist in minimally invasive surgery with advanced skills in surgeries performed vaginally, laparoscopically, and robotically. Dr. Gray is also a specialist in gynecologic urologic needs such as pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. The office is staffed and supplied with a host of tests and treatments for improving bladder function.

I had no problem with the office. The doctor was very nice. My problem is the parking. I had to pay $20. That was a lot for me, the parking, the parking lot. When it was time to leave, I put my card in and they charged me a whole lot of money. And I thought it was just $5.

It was great to see Dr. Gray. Everything was great as always. You guys need to get a different phone service. I waited 29 minutes just to make an appointment. We have other things to do better than waiting on the phone. Last month I waited 45 minutes to make another appointment to the Wells building. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

I think that Dr. Gray is amazing. He's such a wonderful OB-GYN. Every time that I go in, he makes me feel just kind of assured, everything that I ask. Such a welcoming feeling. Even if you're nervous and you're anxious about going in, he just somehow calms you down. Definitely love the office staff as well, so courteous. The only thing I have to say is just the appointments, because he's pretty much booked. One of the best providers. I've been going to Dr. Gray for more than 13 years.

Overall, I love being a patient of Dr Gray. My only complaint is that if they are running late (as in my case 45 minutes late) just say sorry for the delay. Not one person, doctor or staff member recognized the fact they were 45 minutes late.

My appointment was at 8 a.m. I believe I was supposed to be seen by Dr. Gray by 8:15, maybe 8:30, but I was not seen until 9 o'clock. And the provider did not apologize, nothing. I just think that as a patient, I am sure to allocate more time for the appointment. However, to have to wait almost 45 minutes to see a doctor was kind of appalling.

I just really wish that the doctor would address the issue that I went in for, but he kind of went to a prior issue instead, and that's where we left off. So I left with a bump in my woman's part that still bleeds, and I don't know what to do other than live with it, as he mentioned. So I was very disappointed when I left. And I really love Dr. Gray, because he delivered my second child, but not so much lately on his care.

My only issue with the visit is with the front desk staff. They were dismissive and wanted to rush me out even though there wasn't anyone in line behind me. She didn't process my prescriptions either. I am extremely nauseous and cannot keep water down so Dr. Gray prescribed me medication to help and when I asked her about it she said its all automated so just go to my pharmacy and they'll have it....not true. I showed up to CVS and they said there was nothing in their system...then I threw up on the counter. Her mistake is costing me more discomfort. She was not helpful. I had to call this morning to request my prescription get sent. I still have not heard back.

Dr. Brent Gray is the BEST doctor at PIH. I've been apatient of his for over 25 years. He is a very caring Doctor and makes you feel so comfortable. The staff was very kind, helpful, courteous. They were smiling. They made eye contact. But Dr. Gray, what struck me most about him was super comforting, super welcoming. He wasn't just cold. A lot of doctors, regardless of the specialty, treat you like you're just another number, another patient. You just get in, get out, on to the next. And he did not. You could definitely feel the care. You could feel that he was engaged in conversation, that he cared and valued what you had to say, what my concerns were. And he just made me feel very comfortable, very assured, very welcoming. I was a little nervous, not knowing how the test was going to go. I had a little biopsy. But again, very, very comforting. An excellent doctor. I was so happy and immediately called my husband when I left there. I wish I had found a better doctor.

Your scheduling team needs overhauling! I made appointments 3 times, 1 for Dr Gray and 2 others at different departments and when I showed up for my appointment date & time, there was no appointment scheduled for me, or it was for a different day, I can understand 1 oversight but 3?! it takes me 1hr one-way to travel so I do not appreciate having to make double trips

Most women are not crazy about there wellness check up, I actually look forward to my visits. The assistance are friendly. I love my provider Dr Gray, he takes his time to explain in detail what exactly is going and what to expect and how to work through what ever is going on. Than after the routine check up is done he pulls the chair up a little closer crosses his legs, sits his laptop on his fold leg and asks " so what else is going on?" "how are the kids?" I just love that he takes that moment for ME.

He is very reassuring and made me feel at ease going into the last 2 weeks of pregnancy. The staff was very helpful and understanding and got to the point. Dr. Gray understood, seemed to understand and helpful in providing when information was necessary and listened to what I had to say. My husband and I were unsatisfied with the front desk girls in the Perinatal department. They were rude to my husband when he asked to schedule an appointment. Also, one of the girls were on their phones so they didn't bother checking.

I did not appreciate him and his comment on my weight. I've always been overweight and I know that. I've talked to multiple primary care providers and none of them have ever said that my weight is terrible. This is my second pregnancy and yes, my first pregnancy was an overweight pregnancy, but overall very healthy. I've seen multiple providers at PIH and this is the only one that I have ever been upset with and felt disrespected towards. I did not like that he said everything was okay and then all of a sudden when he got to my weight he said the word terrible. Your weight is terrible and he said I should see a nutritionist right away. First of all, there's no reason why he should be commenting that way against someone's weight. It's normal to say okay, let's look at your weight.

So, I went in for a UTI. I brought in my own sample as directed by Dr. Soto because the pain was so bad I had to take the Azo tablets. I didn't want to mess up the sample. So I brought in my own sample. The nurse who helped me, I think her name was (name removed), she was so nice, understanding, fast. But the appointment wasn't until 3.15. I called first thing in the morning and I was in pain. So it was not a pleasant experience. I'm going to wait all day. And then they know I have a UTI. I could have just got the medicine, but I had to see the doctor. The doctor requested a consult. So that was kind of a bummer because I'm very uncomfortable. And then I had to go see the doctor. The pharmacy was very quick. I was appreciative of that. I just think that with routine problems...

Dr. Gray is an excellent doctor. I love the fact that he listens to you, but I sometimes feel like he's in a hurry to go in to see his next patient. If he could give more time just to listen to the patient at hand. But other than that, I believe he's a terrific doctor.

Dr. Gray's office is always very accommodating with appointments and yesterday was no exception. They squeezed me in at the very last minute after a scary ER visit. Thank you!! Dr. Gray himself was great as always!! Excellent bedside manner, listened with empathy, explained everything clearly, was gentle with my very sore abdomen and patient with all of questions being asked. I just want to say that Dr. Brent Gray is very attentive, clear, transparent, which is something I was looking for. I had called the La Mirada office first but the office staff is always so rude and do not take a minute to listen. The nurses at the Whittier office were helpful and listened when I explained the reason for my visit. They understood that this was an ER follow up and treated it as such. Dr. Gray is simply amazing. He made me feel comfortable and he took the time to really listen. He understood that I was going through something very emotional, and was sympathetic towards me. I've been coming to this office since 2017 and have loved him since my first visit

I lost count how many years Dr. Gray has been my doctor, and I am always so grateful to have him. (I was previously with Dr. (two names removed) which set the bar high.) Dr. Gray is so caring and so attentive. A full schedule or not, you would never know. All he is concerned about while he is in front of a patient, is his patient. The parking is always a problem. This time the machine adjacent to the parking would only take cash. You could walk to the opposite side of the building to use a credit card. Really....just skip the fee until the machine is fixed. The elderly lady who was struggling with a cane had no cash so she started walking back into the building. The man using the other machine kindly gave her $5. But really...........

I hadn't been to this office since 2017 and a lot has changed, but negatively. One thing I was surprised to see was a $5 parking fee. When I see other providers outside of PIH and there's a fee for parking, it's usually validated. I think it's ridiculous we need to pay $5 just to visit a physician. In addition, there are only a few one lane exits and it took a while just to get out of the parking lot because the lines were long. Another problem is that I needed to wait almost an hour past my appointment time. If I needed prenatal care, I would find another medical group. Dr. Gray was awesome, but the wait and parking fee were extremely inconvenient.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Gray. I really liked his friendly, outgoing manner. He asked me before he began the exam how I was feeling and any concerns I had. He didn't seem in any hurry to run out of the room to see another patient. I will return next year to see Dr. Gray for my yearly wellness exam.
