Becoming a doctor was always what Dr. Braverman wanted to do. When asked why Dr. Braverman chose Bariatric Surgery as a career he stated, “It provides me with the opportunity to not only help patients lose a significant amount of weight, but to also potentially cure their weight related diseases. Really though, it gives patients a second chance at a healthier life.  Surgical weight loss increases energy, improves appearance and most importantly, dramatically improves the patient’s quality of life. I truly love what I do.” Dr. Braverman enjoys the continuity of care that comes with Bariatric Surgery as he gets to know his patients through their weight loss journey. Having performed over 3,000 bariatric operations with extremely low complication rates and no deaths, he is one of the most experienced and safest weight loss surgeons in California. Dr. Braverman’s hobbies include physical fitness, oil painting, gardening, and playing softball. Most of all, he loves spending time with his wife and young children and enjoys taking advantage of living in sunny, Southern California.

I just want to say that this was one of the most difficult decisions I made for my personal life, and my doctor was supportive no matter which way I was going to go from the very beginning. Every nurse every technician was so wonderful and they were all really really personable and they helped me tremendously.

He is one of the main caring and well informed Dr I have ever met. Dr. Braverman cares a lot for what he does and he takes pride. You can see he wants to see his patients after surgery so he can evaluate his work. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. Bless him.

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Braverman's office. His staff was nice and very professional. I love his bedside manner, he took time to explain everything to me and he answered all my questions. I love the fact that he was VERY knowledgeable with the procedures. He truly gave me comfort in knowing I can trust him to do my surgery efficiently and effectively. Thank you Dr. Braverman for being a kind doctor and helping people to live a healthier and better life. He gets a 10+ in my book.

I found the hospital, or the office staff very helpful, very knowledgeable, and very friendly, and courteous. And Dr. Braverman is super knowledgeable about his craft, and his, I love that he is an expert in the field of bariatrics. And yes, so thank you very much.

It took a few months to get an appointment, however, when an earlier opening occurred, I was called and took it. I was pleasantly greeted by the kindest office professional, the medical aide took me to the room, and the doctor came in shortly after. This is a very nice staff, each one kind, caring and professional.

First visit and everything went great. The staff is pleasant . The doctor explained everything . Only one thing I noticed and was a little disappointing. There was a male staff member who checked me in and checked me out. Very nice person but as he was giving my office visit paperwork and explaining other things he was talking so fast like he was in a rush to get me out there. He acted as if the office was full of patients and he needed to move quickly . I asked a question and he gave me an answer but talked super fast that I didn't understand but I was shy to ask Him again because he made me feel like he a was in a rush for me to leave

Dr Braverman is an excellent example of what doctors should be. He is kind, he listens, he will ask questions to determine the situation, and really does seek to help find a solution. He reviews all of my chart prior to each visit me which most doctors seem to not do.

I had a great experience to be honest Dr braverman nurses and staff were nice, courteous and polite the staff did not rush me when I was doing my paperwork and I appreciate it! The nurses were nice and friendly the nurse who's checking my weight did not discriminate me I told her I didn't want to know my weight and she respected it and I liked it cuz she understood where I was coming from! Finally I meant Dr braverman in person he was nice polite and courteous and he had the best best eye matter hands down! He went over the procedures and went over the steps I had to take and he also asked me did I have any questions he listened to my questions and concerns he is honestly a great doctor and now I got that from one visit so believe me he was a great doctor I wouldn't mind seeing him again!

Dr. Braverman is always prepared and knows my lab results doesn't have to look at the computer, he has already researched them. I feel very assured that I am on the right track and doing a good job. He is the best.

Dr Braverman was encouraging and gave me options of what to do. Never made me feel pressured that I would have to have a surgery to get my weight back in control. Dr. Braverman is an exceptional man and an exceptional doctor. He took the time to explain in detail and slowly and carefully, including drawing pictures on the board to describe what he's talking about. It was amazing. I've never met a doctor like him. I just want to say that Dr. Braverman is excellent. He's very professional. He's very explainative. He's very detailed. The only thing I would like to see improve is that it doesn't take so long for people to go through this procedure due to the mumbo jumbo with the insurance business. I wish I could go through it quicker and get my surgery. Thank you.

I can't remember the last time I have experience exceptional doctor-patient visit such as this one. Doctor came in the room with just a piece of paper with his notes. Had all the information on me not only with him but about all the doctors I'm seeing. Doctor had no computer or lap top pounding away never looking at you or really listening as well. Doctor reviewed past visits and my progress. Doctor also took time to ask about my personal life such as my RV trips and dog. All of this from just a half sheet of paper. I talk about this doctor to everyone because he is a rarity anymore. I'm aware that he had to take the time to look the information up and review to make his notes. I just want him to know I value this and talk about this doctor to everyone because he is a rarity anymore.

I really liked that the doctor was really knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. He was really good at expressing that and explaining the procedure to me so it made me feel really comfortable and safe with going with him.
