Dr. Tishler, the adopted son of a pediatrician, calls his father the reason he went into medicine. “His overall satisfaction and positive attitude in life stemmed from his career in medicine and helping others. This had a great influence on me,” explains Dr. Tishler who notes the “general resilience” of his young patients enhances his ability to integrate care while their “innocent nature makes for a happier, more fulfilling practice.”
Dr. Tishler grew up in a multi-racial family—“a positive influence on my medical practice,” he says. An admitted sport addict and avid reader, he believes a sense of humor improves patient and physician satisfaction.
