Dr. Kaplan became a practicing physician specializing in orthopedics for a simple reason: to help his patients stay healthy and active. He observes that “orthopedics can dramatically help patients improve their lives” and adds that helping people reach their goals gives him the greatest satisfaction.
Dr. Kaplan taught orthopedics in Tanzania as a member of Health Volunteers Overseas, an international organization that increases healthcare access through clinical training and education in developing countries. In his spare time, he can be found mountain biking or skiing.
