LA500 2024: James West

Los Angeles Business Journal – West joined PIH Health in 2000 and became president and chief executive officer in 2004. The organization has experienced significant expansion; it now comprises three hospitals –located in Downey, downtown Los Angeles, and Whittier – a multi-specialty medical group, more than 30 outpatient medical offices and seven urgent care centers. Last year, PIH Health opened a retail pharmacy in the PIH Health Downey Hospital campus, and completed renovations to its downtown building.
