Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy
Both chemotherapy and immunotherapy (also known as biotherapy) are tools used to fight your cancer. Chemotherapy is a powerful medication that helps your body fight cancer. Immunotherapy uses organic substances to fight cancer. You’ll receive treatments in a comfortable, supportive environment.
Radiation Therapy
Radiation therapy uses precisely focused, high-energy X-rays to destroy cancer cells and shrink tumors.

Genetic Testing for Cancer

Oncology Financial Navigator
The oncology financial navigator will help guide and advocate for you in navigating the complex, financial maze of cancer care. We will help find co-pay assistance for treatments, help with enrollment and assist with changes to current or new insurance plans. Call: 562.698.0811 ext. 15705.

Our nutritionists will work with you to ensure you get the nutrition support you need for good health and healing.
Oncology Nurse Navigators
Work with our compassionate, experienced oncology nurse navigators for breast, colorectal and lung cancer throughout your cancer journey. Your nurse navigator can:
- Answer your questions
- Coordinate your care
- Explain your tests and procedures
- Help you understand your options for care
- Enable communication with your medical team
- Offer support and encouragement to you and your family
- Survivorship support: We are with you every step of the way. Count on us to offer comprehensive follow-up care after your cancer treatment ends. Together we will take the journey to recovery and beyond.
Rehabilitation
Highly trained rehabilitation therapists will work with you to improve your strength and independence, cognitive and speech therapy (commonly known as chemo brain), lymphedema.
Hospice care
Compassionate hospice care eases the journey toward the end of life. Lean on PIH Health’s supportive professionals for physical and emotional comfort, so you and your loved ones can make the most of your time together.
Cancer Registry
The cancer registry tracks cancer cases at PIH Health and reports out to the state and national agencies so that we able to measure our success rate and identify areas that we may need improvement on.
Wig Bank

Metastatic Cancer Support

Journey Through Cancer

Link arms with others who are willing to understand and support you through your journey. A five-week virtual program for breast cancer patients transitioning into survivorship.
Survivorship Series - Overcoming the Fear of Recurrence
This presentation will focus on ways to overcome the fear of a cancer recurrence. In addition, the hosts will review ways to improve communication and address difficult conversations. Participants will walk away feeling more empowered.

Accreditations
Commission on Cancer
To earn CoC accreditation, a cancer program must meet or exceed 34 CoC quality care standards, be evaluated every three years, and maintain levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive patient-centered care.
When cancer patients choose to seek care locally at a CoC accredited cancer facility, they are gaining access to comprehensive, state-of-the-art cancer care close to home.
